V. Vanessa, gathered all of her musically talented friends who have been performing around Chi-town for years to join her in V. Holmes’ “A Tribute to the Motown Greats”. She wrote the script, directs the talent and produces a most entertaining and informative show.
Vanessa, has been performing and singing her entire life. Armed with a musical education, years of experience, a strong talent for writing as well as a phenomenal 5 ½-octave range.

It was in 1985 when she co-wrote and co-produce with Roosevelt Purifoy her debut single on Nuance Records entitled “Take My Love” and in 1990 Vanessa co-wrote and co -produces along with Tony Shockency another single titled “ Don’t Ever Break My Heart” and “ Give My Love a Chance”. All three of these enjoyed recognizable success on the charts.
Vanessa, won first place on The Jenny Jones Show “ Battle of the Bands” performing one of her songs entitled “ Give My Love A Chance”.

Holmes, has received awards from The Fred Hampton Scholarship Fund Image Award and Narski Music Outstanding Entertainment & Community Achievement Award.
Moreover, she has stage experience which includes Kuumba Theatre (Praise Peace To Black Men) under Val Gray Ward, the Legacy Cultural Theatre (Forgotten Pearls) and the Chicago Auditorium Theatre (EbonyOnIce) performing her tribute to Minnie Riperton. She has also appeared on various specials including The Sammy Davis Jr. Awards in Houston, Texas, WGN’s People to People, Channel 19’s Have your Say, Robert Townsend Christmas Special, NBC’s (5) News Morning Show , ABC (7) Morning News and FOX Morning News.
She is currently perfoming as lead vocalist with her band, V Holmes & the Fellas, MDV- Live , as well as persuing her career as a solo artist and giving tribute to Martha Reeves in V. Holmes , “A Tribute to the Motown Greats” and “A Tribute to Minnie Riperton” has proven to be, nothing less than stellar. In the most recent times Vanessa is fast establishing a reputation as a 1st call vocalist for several studio and live performances as entertainer with American European Connection, throughtout Europe.
